Joe Giordano, Workforce Development Coordinator
In November of 2008 the Board contracted with Joe Giordano of Consulting, Training & Development Services to provide grant writing services, training and workshops, and coordinate workforce development programs that may arise as a result of grants obtained. In partnership with other organizations like the One Stop Job Market, Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, Telamon Corporation, and the Wicomico County Board of Education these services are being provided. The Foundation helped provide summer employment placement for youth aged 16 to 21 in or just out of foster care; at risk out-of-school youth. in-school youth in CTE programs; and low income youth. During the school year Giordano will continue to provide job readiness and life skills workshops to prepare local youth for job placement in the future.
